Jiji

Neutered male Domestic Shorthair
Born: 05/2021, Portland, Oregon, USA
Color: Black

Jiji is a neutered domestic shorthair, and is not participating in our breeding program, but is an important member of our family. He is named after the black cat in the classic Studio Ghibli film, "Kiki's Delivery Service", which was a favorite movie of mine from my childhood. He was adopted from Cat Adoption Team to be a companion for Beans. Jiji's first few weeks are a mystery, as he and his brother were found at 6 weeks old in a hollowed out tree in suburban Portland during a TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) sweep by a local rescue.

His favorite thing in the world is to be petted. This cat is obsessed with affection. He doesn't seem to care where or how you pet him, he will eat it up. Speaking of eating, he is also a big foodie. He loves to eat, and won't pass up a snack.

Jiji is a lap cat, and will sleep next to you through the night. He is most comfortable anywhere he thinks he will receive the most petting, such as sitting between two people.

Jiji is a shy cat, and is startled very easily. He warms up to people quickly, especially if food or pats are involved.
